Each doctor combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion, taking the time to listen to your concerns and tailor care plans to your pet’s unique needs.

Dr. Chris Carmichael

Veterinarian, Owner

Dr. Chris Carmichael was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and graduated Cum Laude from Auburn University in 2003. He then attended Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2009. Following veterinary school, he completed a rotating internship in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and surgery at Purdue University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

After completing his internship, he moved to Fort Worth and worked as an overnight emergency veterinarian until establishing Highland Pointe Animal Hospital in March of 2016. Dr. Carmichael has a special interest in surgery, wound care, and emergency medicine. When not at the hospital, he loves anything to do with the outdoors, restoring his 1966 Mustang, cooking (and eating, of course), biking, and relaxing with his wife Dr. Lauren Carmichael, their daughter Avery, their son Hudson, and their kitty Jackson.

Dr. Lauren Carmichael

Veterinarian, Owner

Dr. Lauren Carmichael is the daughter of a Naval commander. She was born in Rota, Spain and from there has lived in Florida, Hawaii, Virginia, California, and Kansas! She considers Kansas City, Kansas “home”, since she lived there the longest. Dr. Lauren Carmichael started her undergraduate career at Baylor University and later transferred to Kansas State University where she completed her undergraduate degree in just three years and was then accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Following veterinary school, she completed a rotating internship in emergency medicine, internal medicine, and surgery at Purdue University’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

After completing her internship, she moved to Fort Worth and worked as an emergency veterinarian until establishing Highland Pointe Animal Hospital with her husband Dr. Chris Carmichael in March of 2016. Dr. Lauren Carmichael has a special interest in cardiology, cats, and has experience working with exotics. When not at the hospital, she enjoys running and spending time with her husband Dr. Chris Carmichael, their daughter Avery, their son Hudson, and their kitty Jackson.

Dr. Victoria Stone

Veterinarian

Dr. Stone was born in Biloxi, Mississippi and moved somewhere new every two to three years because her mother was an Air Force flight medic. Naturally, she often refers to herself as a military brat. Her family ultimately settled in Texas during her college years, and she graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2016. Dr. Stone has been part of the Highland Pointe Animal Hospital family since 2016 when she worked with us as a client services representative and later veterinary assistant prior to being accepted into Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

She graduated with her doctorate in May of 2022. Dr. Stone has often been called a crazy cat lady, but she also loves all dogs. During her down time, she loves to golf, go to the gym, and spend time with her many pets. She has four cats named Tango, Cash, Princess, and Kitbull and two dogs named Monroe and Lily. Dr. Stone can’t wait to see you and your fur-kids!

Dr. Sienna Drizin

Veterinarian

Dr. Sienna Drizin grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and has always had a love for animals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of California – Davis, where she also played Division I Soccer.

Dr. Drizin went on to attend veterinary school at Colorado State University, where she was awarded grants to study stress-related diseases in pets. That work sparked her passion for fear-free care and helping animals be safe and comfortable during visits.

After earning her DVM, Dr. Drizin completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Wisconsin, which provided specialty training in emergency and critical care. Since then, she’s gained experience in both emergency medicine and general practice, bringing compassion, curiosity, and a thoughtful approach to every patient she treats.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her running trails, kicking around a soccer ball, or relaxing with her two beloved cats, Bean and Sprout—who definitely run the household.

Logan
Hospital Manager

Logan is proud to have been with Highland Pointe since its beginning and is dedicated to creating a positive experience for both clients and team members. With a passion for animal care and strong leadership, Logan works behind the scenes to help ensure the hospital operates smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of service and compassion.

At home, Logan shares his life with his wife and three-year-old son, two dogs, Cosmo and Penny, and a cat named Yuki. When he’s not at the hospital, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and exploring a wide range of interests.

A lifelong musician and multi-instrumentalist, Logan enjoys playing and studying music whenever he can. He is also an avid reader with a deep curiosity about history, art, philosophy, and language. His love of learning and appreciation for different perspectives help shape both his personal and professional approach to life.

Logan is proud to be part of a team dedicated to strengthening the bond between people and their pets and feels fortunate to work in a profession that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families every day.

Olivia
Assistant Practice Manager

Born and raised in St. Louis, Olivia developed a love for animals at an early age and spent much of her childhood rescuing and caring for them. That lifelong enthusiasm for animal care eventually led her into veterinary medicine, where she began her career in 2018.

Olivia joined Highland Pointe Animal Hospital in 2020 as a Client Service Representative and quickly discovered a love for every aspect of veterinary care. Over time, she grew into a Veterinary Assistant role before becoming Assistant Practice Manager in 2026. In 2024, Olivia also worked in hospice care for animals, an experience that strengthened her passion for caring for senior pets. She understands how meaningful comfort, dignity, and compassionate support can be during every stage of a pet’s life, and she cares deeply about helping both pets and their families feel supported through difficult moments.

Outside of work, Olivia enjoys spending time with her partner, Mason, and their three cats Yui, Riz, and Kevin. In her free time, she loves traveling, kayaking, hiking, reading, listening to music, and spending quiet time at home with the people and pets she loves most.

Renee
Technician Assistant

Renee joined the Highland Pointe team in 2025 and loves helping pets and their families feel welcome and comfortable during their visits. She plans to pursue a degree in Political Science with hopes of becoming a civil and animal rights attorney, combining her love for helping others with her love of animals.

When she’s not at the clinic, Renee can usually be found spending time with her beloved pets, Leah and Agnes. Whether she’s caring for animals at work or at home, she enjoys building connections with both pets and their families.

Taleah

Veterinary Assistant

Taleah is from Tucson, Arizona, and came to Texas in 2018. She joined Highland Pointe Animal Hospital in 2022 as a veterinary technician. In that time, she graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Minor in Biology. Taleah will be starting her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at K-State in August of 2026.

If she is not helping your sweet fur babies at the hospital or studying, Taleah is practicing her roller skating moves and enjoying her time with her pets, M&M and Enzo.

Shoshana
Veterinary Assistant

Shoshana was born and raised in New York and made her way to Texas in 2020 (ask her to say “coffee” or “dog” next time you see her!). She joined the Highland Pointe team in 2021 as a CSR and, as of 2025, has taken the role of Veterinary Assistant. She will be graduating with her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2026 and is excited to use her degree to help people and pets!

In her free time, you can find her reading, baking, or taking care of her 3 cats, Jake Peralta, Macchiato James, and Flamingo Marie, and her troublemaker pup, Lily.

Natalie
Veterinary Assistant

Natalie was born and raised in Texas and is the youngest of three sisters. She joined Highland Pointe Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Technician in 2025 and quickly became known for her positive attitude, sense of humor, and dedication to caring for both pets and the people who love them. She enjoys building relationships with clients and helping make every visit a little easier and a little brighter.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family. She also loves adventuring with her Belgian Malinois, Enzo, who is always ready to tag along for whatever the day has in store.

Melanie
Veterinary Assistant

Melanie is a dedicated veterinary technician with over five years of experience in patient care and is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician license. Known for her warm and upbeat personality, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming experience for pets and their families.

Outside of the clinic, Melanie is a former World Champion and member of the USA Youth Olympic Taekwondo Team. In her free time, she enjoys teaching Taekwondo to children and playing soccer, combining her love of mentorship, teamwork, and staying active.

Madison
Veterinary Assistant

Madison grew up in the small town of Lucas, Texas, and graduated from Tarleton State University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a minor in Biology. Since then, she has continued to foster her love of learning, with a special interest in large animals and livestock. Since joining the Highland Pointe Animal Hospital team in 2025, Madison has enjoyed providing excellent care for families while helping create a positive and friendly atmosphere in the clinic.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, Athena and Apollo. When she’s not caring for animals, you can find Madison reading, playing games, and baking.

Liz
Veterinary Assistant

Liz was born in Mobile, Alabama, and moved to Texas at a young age due to her parents’ service in the United States Coast Guard. She has called Highland Village home for most of her life and has had a passion for animals as long as she can remember. Liz joined the Highland Pointe Animal Hospital team in 2024 and loves helping pets feel comfortable while building lasting relationships with their families.

When she’s not at the clinic, Liz enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She also loves spoiling her adventure-loving dogs, Duke and Jackson, and mischievous cat, Milo, who always keeps her on her toes. She looks forward to caring for you and your furry family members!

Amy
Veterinary Assistant

Amy has been working in the veterinary field since 2020 and is currently completing her degree in Veterinary Technology. She joined the Highland Pointe team in 2024 and has been bringing a fun, positive, and caring energy to the clinic ever since.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys being outdoors, whether she’s fishing, fossil hunting, bird watching, or finding insects for pinning.

Carrie
Veterinary Technician

Carrie has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2005 and brings more than two decades of experience and dedication to veterinary medicine. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest before making the move to Texas in 2021. Throughout her career, Carrie has been committed to providing high-quality care to both pets and the people who love them.

At home, Carrie shares her life with her husband, two adult children, three dogs, a turtle, and a bearded dragon, giving her plenty of firsthand experience with animals of all shapes and sizes. When she’s not caring for your pets, Carrie enjoys spending time with her own pets or traveling back to the Pacific Northwest to visit loved ones and stay connected to her roots.

Veterinary Technician

Ivory was born and raised in California, where she earned her associate degree in Veterinary Technology and began building the skills and experience that make her such a valued member of our team. In 2020, she moved to Texas and joined the Highland Pointe Animal Hospital family. Known for her calm demeanor and compassionate approach, Ivory enjoys helping pets feel comfortable while providing experienced, attentive care. Her dedication to both her patients and their families helps create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

When she’s not caring for your pets, Ivory loves spending time with her family and relaxing at home with her cat curled up beside her on the sofa.

Bekah
Client Service Representative

Bekah is a kind-hearted adventurer with a passion for exploring both the world around her and the stories within it. She moved from Maryland in 2025 with her husband, Connor, and joined the Highland Pointe team shortly thereafter.

Bekah enjoys writing, reading, taking long walks, traveling, and spending time in nature. She has a deep love for animals, especially fish, and takes pride in caring for her aquatic friends: two angelfish named Ben and Jerry, and Gilbert (Gill), the red-tailed shark. Known for her hardworking nature and adventurous outlook, Bekah is always looking forward to the next journey, whether it’s a road trip, a new hobby, or a chance to learn something new!

Amanda
Client Service Representative Lead

Amanda has been in the veterinary industry for 22 years and has a passion for animal care. She is also self-employed outside of work and owns Manda Panda Pet Sitting.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys hiking, camping, swimming, bowling, watching movies, reading, and traveling whenever she can. She also has a beloved 22-year-old chinchilla named Petey.
